Who doesn™t love brunch? It™s a favorite past time of mine, and an activity that we tend to take quite seriously here in this town. TJ™s Fresh Seafood Market is debuting their new brunch menu and is definitely one you™ll want to add to your rotation. With a unique twist on brunch fare, TJ™s did not disappoint.
TJ™s offered a special brunch tasting preview for notable Dallas food personalities at the Preston Royal location. Let me tell you, we all walked away wanting more. There truly is something for everyone and all taste buds.
We started with the Brunch Combo Smoked Salmon Board that everyone devoured. Also on the menu are other starters like Peruvian Ceviche, Crab Cake Sliders, and an array of salads with grilled salmon, shrimp, lobster, and crab cake options to add on. TJ™s offers all of your typical brunch fare, but with a different spin. You™ll find your pancakes, benedicts, and hash but be prepared for out of the ordinary with these dishes. Can you say Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Benedict and Yukon Smoked Salmon Hash? Looking for truffle scrambled eggs “ try the Strait Lane “ so decadent, it even comes with a bit of caviar.
We then sampled the Banana Nut Bread Pancakes “ which are a bit different than the usual banana nut pancakes. Banana Nut Bread batter is poured on the griddle to give you the sweetness of the bread in pancake form. Here™s a little secret from the kitchen “ the air conditioning was blowing right over the griddle where the once less than fluffy pancakes were prepared. Once they discovered this, they moved the vent and now we have wonderfully fluffy and satisfying pancakes.
Crowd favorites were the Honey Butter Lobster Fritters (a must try) and the Connecticut Style Lobster Roll. I™m still thinking about how good those fritters were!
With standout dishes like Honey Butter Lobster Fritters and Yukon Smoked Salmon Hash, TJ™s is offering a fresh take on brunch that is true to them, and truly delicious. Visit TJ™s Fresh Seafood Market for an out-of-the-box brunch!
