I love entertaining, and I like to keep it simple. Here is an example of what I would serve for a holiday party.
Crackers and Hummus: Spoon your store bought hummus into a decorative bowl and press fresh garlic over top and drizzle with olive oil for a homemade look. Fruit and Dip: My favorite dip is marshmallow cream and cream cheese. Cookies: This serves as a little something sweet. I buy several varieties of the cut and bake cookies. The key is in undercooking them. They come out gooey, just like homemade. Chips and Salsa: You can never go wrong with chips and salsa. Veggie Tray: Splurge with your time and make your own veggie tray. 4 seasonal and colorful veggies is perfect. Ranch dressing from the packet mixed with sour cream makes the best veggie dip. Tortilla Pinwheels: My new favorite is cream cheese and drained Rotel tomatoes. It doesn’t get easier than this. What easy dishes do you like to prepare for parties? |
