Whether you’re looking for a new twist on your holiday dinners or you’re sticking to tradition, Cantina Laredo tamales deserve a spot on your spread.
Cantina Laredo hosted us for a traditional Tamalada on the sun-bathed patio of their Addison location. Chef Ruben and Chef Rambo told us stories of their families’ tamaladas in Monterrey and Laredo, Mexico as they taught us how to make delicious and savory tamales, step-by-step, from molding the masa to filling the corn husks with 6-hour braised brisket and creamy peppered chicken.
As we waited on the tamales to steam to perfection, we had a chance to try Cantina Laredo’s “comida moderna” cuisine including, their three new cocktails.
