One of Dallas’ biggest celebrations kicks off this weekend with the Greenville Avenue St. Patrick’s Day Parade. We’ve rounded up some of the best specials and events around the city to help you make the most out of the luckiest of holidays.
Henderson Tap House hosts costume contest, brunch and drink specials for three-day celebration
After the parade on Saturday, head to Henderson Tap House (HTH) for $3 green beer, $7 Irish Car Bombs, $5 Irish Whiskey Shooters, Kegs and Eggs buffet (available 9-11 a.m.) and live entertainment all day long. They’re also giving away $1,000 to Mr. and Mrs. St. Patty’s for the best dressed couple in St. Patrick’s Day attire. Tickets for the buffet and three drink tickets are $30.
On Sunday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., HTH hosts The Irishmans Blarney Stone Brunch with Lucky Charm cereal-crusted French toast and green eggs and corned beef hash, build-your-own Bloody Mary bar, and bottle of champagne and orange juice carafe for $10. And for the official St. Patricks Day celebration on Monday, HTH will give guests in green their first drink for $3 and offer various drink specials. RSVP for Saturday and Monday’s events here.
The Dram and Candleroom offer two parties for the price of one
The Dram and Candleroom are throwing a Parking Lot Party with DJ Goody and DJ Marvel from noon until 6 p.m. Shuttles are available to take you from there to the Greenville Avenue Parade from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost to attend is $5.
Tart Bakery offers special St. Patrick’s Day menu and pricing
Tart Bakery is offeringtreats you can pick up in store just in time for your St. Patty’s Day parties. New items include: Bailey’s Irish Cream Cakeballs and French Macarons, Pot o’ Gold and Shamrock Cake Pops, Chocolate Mint Petit Fours, Irish Whoopee Pies and festive shortbread cookies among others. Store hours are Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Olenjack’s Grille gives southern twist to Irish classics
Olenjack’s Grille in Arlington celebrates St. Patrick’s Day on Monday with specials like $4 Guinness, Harps and Smithwick’s Irish Red. They’ll be offering a three-course meal with Irish potato soup, house-made corned beef with vegetables and choice of Guinness pretzel and house-made Irish cream and chocolate truffle duo or Guinness milkshake for dessert.
Brick House Tavern + Tap serves up “Luck of the Irish”
All 20 locations of Brick House Tavern + Tap will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Friday, March 14 through Monday, March 17. Guests can order a traditional Irish meal of Jamesons Lamb Shank “ braised in Jameson Irish Whiskey and coffee, served with cheddar mashed potatoes and bacon-roasted Brussels sprouts. The dish, usually featured as a Sunday special, will be offered every day throughout the holiday weekend. The more adventurous can get in the spirit with a $4 Luck of the Irish green cocktail made with Jameson, Triple Sec and fresh lemon juice, shaken and topped with ginger beer and mint.
Breadwinner Cafe wants you to celebrate like the Irish with festive bakery treats
Stop by your local Bread Winners now through St. Patrick’s Day on Monday for some Irish treats. Enjoy sugar cookies ($2.49/each or $27.99/dozen), cupcakes ($2.79/each, $16.99/half-dozen or $31.99/dozen and cakeballs ($2.49/each or $14.99/gift box of four).
Quarter Bar brings St. Patty’s to Uptown
The Quater Bar is offering the following drink specials from Friday through Monday in honor of St. Patrick’s Day: $3 Guinness and Jameson, 2 for $10 Irish Car Bombs (shot) and $2 green Jello shots. Make sure you wear green or you might get pinched!
NYLO Plano at Legacy offers live music and happy hour for St. Patrick’s Day
Jeff Packer of The Grateful Hateful will perform live from 6-9 p.m. on St. Patricks Day with no cover charge. NYLO will offer happy hour-priced drinks from 3-7 p.m., including $5 Wells, $3 drafts and $5 house wines. Daily specials will also be offered from 7 p.m. to close, and includes $3 Guinness or Heineken, $5 Jameson or Jack Daniels and $6 Flatbreads.
Addison’s Flying Saucer hosts inaugural St. Patrick’s Day block party
Addison wanted in on all the fun Dallas has with St. Patrick’s Day, and will host its first-ever St. Patrick’s Day block party at the Flying Saucer on Monday, March 17 from 1-7 p.m. The party will feature an outdoor bar, food, and music by DJ Russ. Special guest, Seamus OHara, founder and owner of OHaras Brewery based in Ireland, will be making an appearance. Make sure you have a pint ready when you meet him.
