Abuelo’s 25th Anniversary Party, July 1
The East Plano location of Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant is hosting an anniversary party on July 1 and invites you to attend. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Guests will enjoy giveaways and family-fun activities. Enchiladas will be prices 25 cents with a purchase of an entree. Guests who dine in any of the restaurants on July 1 will also receive a $5 coupon, redeemable on a return visit.
Additionally, enjoy the Silver Anniversary Three-Course Deal Menu. The celebratory, three-course menu starts with fresh guacamole, then guests may choose from three classic entrées including the Laredo, Sautéed Chicken Zucchini and Ribeye Steak and Enchiladas and finishes with its award-winning flan. Patrons may also enjoy the limited time Silver Celebration Margaritawith Cuervo Silver Tequila, St. Germain Liqueur and lime juice.
Abuelo’s will donate $1 to the nonprofit No Kid Hungry campaign for every Tapas or Small Bites plate sold.

National Fried Chicken Day, July 6
Celebrate National Fried Chicken Day on July 6! In honor of this day, MAXs Wine Dives locations in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas are celebrating with their famous Southern Fried Chicken made with jalapeño-buttermilk marinated chicken made with mashed potatoes, collard greens and Texas toast.
Meso Mayo’s Sizzling Summer Dishes, Ends July 10
From now until July 10, stop by Meso Mayo to try out two delicious dishes. The Ensalada de Verano is packed with fresh ingredients, including adobo grilled chicken breast, organic purslane, green tomatoes, relish, watermelon, goat cheese, avocado, romaine hearts, and tossed with passion fruit vinaigrette.
Added to the dinner menu is Black Sea Bass. The skin-on fish is served with queso panela, avocado tomatillo sauce, tangy watermelon and a side of fideo seco topped with quail egg.

Grill on the Alley Celebrates Surf & Turf through July 17
Summer is the perfect time to enjoy a classic surf & turf, and The Grill on the Alley at Galleria Dallas will offer a special Surf & Turf dinner available only on weeknights (Monday “ Thursday) through Thursday, July 17.
The generous plate includes an 8 oz. Filet Mignon cooked to order with half of a Lobster Tail, all for just $44. West Village’s Cork Wine Bar continues its Wine 101 series this month. Whether you consider yourself a newbie or a wine connoisseur, this class will be a ton of fun! LYFE Kitchen Comes to West Village, July 25
Another eatery to look forward to at West Village is LYFE Kitchen, opening July 25. The restaurant was founded by two former fast-food chain executives and celebrity chef Art Smith with the mission to ‘eat good, feel good, do good’ supporting local farmers, promoting sustainability and giving back to the community.
National Cheesecake Day, July 30
Celebrate National Cheesecake Day on July 30 at none other than The Cheesecake Factory! The restaurant will offer dine-in guests any slice of its more than 30 legendary flavors of cheesecake for half price and will extend the promo through July 31. That’s a sweet deal!
Hopdoddy Introduces New Burger and Bourbon
Sink your teeth into the new Fried Green Tomato Burger at Hopdoddy Burger Bar. The dish features a classic pairing of cornmeal-fried green tomatoes with avocado, apple wood-smoked bacon, caramelized onions and roasted tomato remoulade. It is served with an Angus beef patty on a toasted egg bun. This plate is only available through July 13 and goes for $12.
Hopdoddy recommends pairing the burger with a glass of Blood Orange Bourbon, fresh with mint leaves, hand squeezed orange juice, sweet agave nectar and blood orange syrup. The drink will be offered all month and costs $8 per glass.

Texas Land & Cattle Rolls Out New Menu
Last week, Texas Land & Cattle rolled out its new menu featuring the return of its signature Steak Soup and a handful of new dishes that will whet your appetite. Alongside dinner, order a Texas craft spirit or a local beer to enjoy the full Lone Star State effect.
New Pastry Menu at Olenjack’s Grille
Olenjacks Grille, located in Arlington, has launched an updated dessert menu sure to satisfy any customers after-dinner sweet tooth. We can’t wait to try out the new lineup, including the Not Your Mommas Chocolate Cake, a coffee and chocolate infused four-layer cake with ganache served on crème anglaise.
Additional new options include a Crème Brulee Trio, Banana Pudding Cheesecake, Chocolate Pistachio Truffles and a gourmet Strawberry Shortcake. The dessert drinks, regularly on the menu, also seem tasty….espressos, alcoholic coffees, a Creamy Chocolate Martini and a Thin Mint Martini.
