#Repost @vickyd04 ・・・ I can’t think of a better way to celebrate anyone’s birthday, especially The King himself, than with a taco! This week WTF taco at @velvettaco is the Velvet Elvis 2.0. – a fried banana laying on a warm flour tortilla, lined with house made peanut butter, and then topped with honey, Nutella, peppered bacon, blackberry jam and peanuts! Is bacon and Nutella EVER a bad combination? And because they wanted us to eat out vegetables, they garnished with some mint. I’m all shook up!! The taco is only available Friday, January 8 – Sunday, January 17, and will cost you about $4! No one will judge if you eat this before your meal. #dallasfoodnerd *mediacomp

So polenta is one of my favorite dishes, and it’s literally rehydrated ground corn. So I took a fresh ear of corn (cutting around the bottom to pull the husk clean off), grated it directly in a sauce pan, added it’s enough water to almost cover the corn, and cooked it until creamy. Add in a small pat of butter, salt, and some grated parmesan and bam! You’ve got fresh delicious polenta! To finish it, I added some diced pork loin left over from Mario’s, a luscious poached egg, and sautéed kale. #bountifulbaskets #dallasfoodnerd #dallasfoodblogger #polenta -@tbanda
