Hailing from Denver, Modmarket is set to open its first of four locations this Tuesday (Sept. 9) in Flower Mound (3651 Justin Road). Modmarket, short for “modern market” is a fresh-farm eatery that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner made from simple, whole ingredients. All entrees are made from scratch using fresh, quality ingredients that can be traced back to farms.
I was invited to visit Modmarket in Flower Mound for a private dinner, and boy, the food was delicious! Modmarket has a fast-casual setting with a modern look. From digital menu screens, local craft beer and wine and guilt-free menu items, Modmarket will definitely be a top choice for families and health-conscious guests. Most meals are priced are $10 and the restaurant is transparent with its nutritional information.
The menu includes a variety of large salads, soups, sandwiches, pizzas, homestyle plates and breakfast.
Not only was the price of each meal listed on the receipt, but also the calories of your food and drinks are printed off. Though I don’t count calories every day, I’m always curious to see how many calories are included in my meals. This was a neat feature to see at Modmarket!
For the Flower Mound grand opening, guests can win various prizes, including a Richardson Bike Mart cruiser bike, a Pure Barre gift card and Lukes Locker gift card. We also learned Plano will open up the next Modmarket location in Texas this fall, followed by Preston Hollow and Southlake openings in early 2015.
(Disclaimer: I was invited to a complimentary VIP/media event to experience the menu items at Modmarket, and all thoughts are my own.)
