Moviehouse & Eatery, a premier movie and dining destination based out of Austin, opened its second DFW location this month in Flower Mound. This location is one of the latest shops found in the new Lakeside shopping center off 2499 and Lakeside Parkway. I was pretty excited to hear they opened up near my house. There are SO many new movies out this summer, and I can’t wait to see them at Moviehouse!
Moviehouse & Eatery presents a full-service entertainment experience for cinema-goers of all ages. Each location features resort-style amenities, made-from-scratch dishes, a full-service bar in the lobby with craft cocktails and draft beers, reserved luxury recliners, wall-to-wall screens and auditoriums outfitted with state-of-the-art sound and picture technology.
Dallas Food Nerd was invited to the VIP grand opening in Flower Mound to enjoy dinner and a movie and to get a taste of what Moviehouse & Eatery is all about. My guest and I reserved our seats ahead of time for a class Alfred Hitchcock movie and headed to the party. There, the Moviehouse & Eatery staff welcomed us with champagne and light bites in the lobby as we waited for the movie to start.
We sampled a variety of items from the extensive menu while watching the movie. (Did I mention the recliner seats are so plush and comfy??) The menu features your traditional theater-style food, such as candy, pretzels and popcorn. Additionally, movie-goers will see a plethora of options including pizza, wraps, cheese boards, burgers, hot dogs, homestyle entrees, dessert and a kids’ menu. We also hear they offer a brunch menu. There’s so much to choose from, and you won’t go hungry!
Ticket prices for shows before 12:01 p.m. daily start at $7.50 for children under 12 and $9.50 for adult, and tickets for adults after that time are $12 each.
The other location of MovieHouse & Eatery in DFW is located in Keller. Have you been to either location? Leave a comment below sharing your experience with us!
