Presented by DallasChocolate.org, the 5th annual Dallas Chocolate Festival is an event designed to raise awareness and appreciation for the amazing work of local and national fine chocolate craftsmen.
On September 13 at the Addison Conference Center, experience a full day of workshops, tasty samples and demos by chocolatiers. An event of this capacity and amazingness only comes once a year to town, so if you’re a chocolate enthusiast like me, this is not to miss!
Not a professional chocolatier? Yep, me neither. Good to know the cooking classes are open to attendees of all levels. I’m ready to get my hands (chocolate) dirty!
Space is limited, so buy your tickets in advance to save a seat. Enter the code FoodNerdChocolate to get 10 percent off! If tickets remain on the event day, you can pick one up for $30 at the door.
Your ticket includes passes to multiple classes and demos throughout the day, as well as 10 tickets to grab sweet samples. The event kicks off at 10 a.m. with a Chocolatiers™ Roundtable — a panel discussion with all participating chocolatiers. You’ll probably see me in the back drinking my latte and eating chocolate for breakfast (don’t judge… I’m just really excited for this festival).
There are several additional workshops taking place on Sunday, Sept. 14 to even further your knowledge of cocoa. This includes a hands-on dessert class, bean-to-bar chocolate making and a chocolate and wine pairing. View more details here.
The following companies and organizations will be on-site to educate fellow chocolate lovers: Barry Callebaut USA, Amano Artisan Chocolate, Valrhona, Tejas Chocolate, Taza Chocolate, Pacari Chocolate, Chocolates El Rey, Potomac Chocolate, Cacao Atlanta Chocolate Company, Sublime Chocolate, Chocolate Secrets, Wiseman House Chocolates, CocoAndré Chocolatier, Dr. Sue’s Chocolate, Nib Chocolates, Toffee Treats, Bark Chocolate, Goodies Texas, Hank Dessert Bars, Kate Weiser Chocolate, Haute Sweets Patisserie, Dallas Caramel Company, Steel City Pops, El Centro College, Tarrant County College, and more.
And don’t miss the popular Madame Cocoa (Adrienne Newman) who will return as the event™s mistress of ceremonies!
