JOCKEYS & JAVA AT LONE STAR PARK BEGINS MAY 28
I can’t think of a better way to start the day, than to watch the horses during morning workouts from the shaded confines of the Courtyard of Champions at Lone Star Park. Take the kids and enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast from the kitchen of Chef Jake Duplantis with breakfast burritos, danishes, coffee and juice.
You will get a behind the scenes insight from Track Announcer John Lies. Every Saturday through closing weekend John will be joined by a special guest, including jockeys, trainers and other horse racing professionals. Lies guest for the opening program on Saturday, May 28 will be Lone Star Parks all-time leading jockey Cliff Berry (interview beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by a question and answer session “ guest subject to change).
Following workouts at 10 a.m., fans are invited to take a behind-the-scenes trip to the backstretch. Everyone in attendance will receive a Lone Star Track Pack with coupons for free general admission and a Lone Star Today racing program.
