The owners of Downtown Dallas’ Taqueria La Ventana recently opened a second location in Addison off Belt Line Road. This was my first time visiting either location, and I had a chance to learn about the authentic Mexican food and street tacos this fast-casual restaurant offers.
La Ventana has a casual atmosphere with lively colors and a large patio with a connecting bar from inside.
The simple menu offers four main entrees with your choice of protein or veggies: tacos (only $1.95 every day!), burritos, bowls and a salad. Customers can choose from 10 different fillings such as steak, beef, shrimp, shredded chicken, pork, beef with egg and more. All tacos are made with white corn tortilla bread that’s made fresh daily. See the full menu online.
Your typical queso/guacamole/salsa and chip sides are on the menu as well…and in my opinion, these are staples to any Tex-Mex meals! Elotes (cheesy corn) are also available. I didn’t get a chance to try La Ventana’s version of Elotes, but I bet it’ll be good (I love cheese on almost everything!)
Don’t forget to grab a house margarita while you’re visiting La Ventana. Frozen or on the rocks ‘ritas are just $3.75 every day, and the seasonal fruit frozen margaritas are $4. Several options for beer are available as well. They also have some pretty tasty churros for dessert.
Taqueria La Ventana is located at 4180 Beltline Road in Addison, Texas.
