Husband and wife duo, Mike and Susan Matta, announce Village Burger Bar will open its fourth location Tuesday, October 22nd in North Dallas.
Located across the street from Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas “ at 12300 Inwood Road “ Village Burger Bar is a family-owned and operated restaurant that serves superior quality burgers, salads and panini in a modern and warm setting. The new family-focused location will house 19 taps for local beer and 1 tap for root beer, a large patio with ping-pong tables and a carefully crafted menu that offers something for everyone.
This North Dallas addition will also serve as a research and development kitchen for creating new menu items. Chef/co-owner Susan Matta says, Im excited to test new recipes. If they are well received, then our other locations will add them to their menu. Mattas first addition will be fried pickles as a starter, with a number of other recipes planned soon after opening.
Village Burger Bar serves a specialty-blended burger that consists of tenderloin, chuck, and brisket that is hand formed in each of the locations from fresh, never frozen beef. They top each burger with house-made dressings and sauces, fresh produce, and locally baked fresh buns. The same care and freshness goes into each salad and panini. A full bar with a large selection of draft beer and wines by the glass complete the experience at Village Burger Bar.
Co-owner, Mike Matta says, We sought to create a neighborhood burger-centered concept that’s offerings, environment, staff and price point made it appeal to a larger audience. Our panini sandwiches, salads and starters were not an afterthought. When we opened in The West Village, we knew that many of the tenants and center employees would be visiting multiple times per week. With that in mind we were careful to craft a menu that allowed them to enjoy a unique experience each visit. We have guests that come in multiple times per week because of the variety of menu items we offer.
The Matta duo opened their first location in West Village back in 2005. Susan Matta explains, Our business model is simple. I am the chef/co-owner and responsible for the menu development along with all recipes. I acquired my passion for food and cooking from my mother and grandmother. Mike is the co-owner/business and brand developer. In his spare time he is also a commercial pilot. Together they make a great team that allows each of them to express their individual creativity and work to bring their customers the best product possible.
