Husband and wife duo, Mike and Susan Matta, opened Village Burger Bars fourth location Tuesday, October 22nd in North Dallas.  Located across the street from Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas “ at 12300 Inwood Road “ Village Burger Bar is a family-owned and operated restaurant that serves superior quality burgers, salads and panini in a modern and warm setting.   The new family-focused location houses 19 taps for local beers and 1 tap for root beer, a large patio with ping-pong tables and a carefully crafted menu created by Susan Matta that offers something for everyone.

The new North Dallas addition also serves as a research and development kitchen for creating new menu items.  The Matta duo opened their first location in West Village back in 2005.  They sought to create a neighborhood burger-centered concept that’s offerings, environment, staff and price point made it appeal to a larger audience.  Mike Matta says, Our panini sandwiches, salads and starters were not an afterthought.  When we opened in The West Village, we knew that many of the tenants and center employees would be visiting multiple times per week.  With that in mind we were careful to craft a menu that allowed them to enjoy a unique experience each visit.  We have guests that come in multiple times per week because of the variety of menu items we offer.

Susan Matta explains, Our business model is simple.  I am the chef/co-owner and responsible for the menu development along with all recipes.  I acquired my passion for food and cooking from my mother and grandmother.  Mike is the co-owner/business and brand developer.  In his spare time he is also a commercial pilot.  Together they make a great team that allows each of them to express their individual creativity and work to bring their customers the best product possible.
