The next exciting addition to the newly revitalized Southside of Fort Worth opens this weekend. WineHaus is a boutique wine store/bar devoted to wines made in small batches by independent producers. Managed by Lindsey Crawford, the shop will deliver a truly farm-to-glass experience. Daniel Kelada, who sits on the board of the Texas Wine and Food Consortium as the Vice President, is WineHaus™ executive sommelier.
We had a specific vision for what the wine program would look like, said Crawford. We wanted small batches, by independent producers, on obscure estates. We wanted to allow consumers the opportunity to trace the wine from his/her glass to the vineyard that produced it. I™m pretty adamant about tailoring each customer experience toward their own tastes and not ours.
WineHaus offers a wide selection of kegged wines. These are not only more eco-friendly, but it provides for the most authentic wine drinking experience by keeping the wine from being exposed to oxygen until it™s dispensed. In addition to eight wines on tap, WineHaus will also offer wine by the bottle or by the growler, as well as a unique beer selection. Wines range in price from $7-$75 and all bottles on the shelf can be to-go or enjoyed in the comfortable atmosphere of the shop. A tapas menu will also be served by neighboring Chadra™s Mezza and Grill.
WineHaus will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, October 12, however it will be open for a sneak peek tomorrow during Friday on the Green. WineHaus is the only boutique wine bar in the Southside area of Fort Worth and is located at 1628 Park Place Avenue.
