Zoes Kitchen is a fast-casual, Mediterranean-centric restaurant with a number of locations in Dallas. It’s a personal favorite chain of mine, and they offer affordable healthy meals prepared fresh each day. I’ve dined at Zoes Kitchen on numerous occasions, and they have never disappointed. It’s refreshing to experience the philosophy tZoes Kitchen follows when it comes to their food – simple, tasty and fresh!
Zoes Kitchen was kind enough to invite us out to try their new menu items, which I enjoyed very much.
Heres a preview of the new menu items:
Starter – The Hummus Trio
This starter consists of the classic hummus along with two new additions of a basil pesto and red pepper hummus – served with pita bread, cucumbers and pita chips. Zoes’ classic hummus is delicious on its own, but these two new additions definitely are a bonus to this vast menu. T
he red pepper hummus has a spicy kick that is perfect with a cucumber slice to balance the flavor, and the basil pesto is a dream for those with nut allergies. As most hummus is made with pine nuts, the basil pesto is a nut-free hummus prepared with fresh basil, spinach, and garlic.
Entree – The Mediterranean Chicken
This entree features a tender grilled chicken breast marinated with Zoes Kitchen signature spices and topped with caramelized onions. It’s served with a healthy Greek salad, braised rosemary white beans and slices of soft pita bread. The chick is tender and flavorful with just the right amount of spices, but the standout on this dish are the white beans. The braised white beans are a creamy consistency with a hint of rosemary that add outstanding flavor. The side Greek salad and slices of warm pita bread compliment this protein rich meal and balance it out well.
Zoes Kitchen had a vast menu to begin with, but these added items are a good dynamic to what they have to offer. Go and try the Hummus Trio and Mediterranean Chicken, and us know what you think!
I was provided with complimentary dining, but all opinions expressed are solely my own.
